Sunday Church Series - The Dogwoods Are In Bloom


Friday, I captured Highland United Methodist's lovely dogowoods against these stained glass windows.

Alas, my Yankee friends are left at the window wondering where oh where spring is and why hasn't she shown her face UP THERE! Maybe my photos of springtime in B'ham will give you hope!

Ooh, all across the bottom of reversed stained glass. View from the outside suggesting the view from the inside.

I so love dogwoods. It's always a thrill to see them in bloom. We don't grow them here at sea level but you can find them at higher elevations. In another southern tradition, I have a lilac bush. Nothing like the scent.
