Warming Up

Today we return to the Alabama Symphony's Family Concert at Railroad Park on Sunday afternoon.  As I mentioned yesterday, I was allowed to photograph the musicians and crew as they were preparing for the performance.  I loved the light on this lovely young cellist as she practiced.

Yes, this is magical, V. The beautiful intensity of the musician in the foreground, the joyful humor of the musician in the background. Perhaps a metaphor for the music they are about to play and its effect on the audience.

Fabulous photo! I don't know the lingo but the contrasting facial expressions on the 2 women and how the photo is framed just so, does it for me. I love it.

Bonne Journee!

What a beautiful portrait of a lovely cellist! Two of our three daughters play violin - I hope one of them will switch later to cello!

Her playing may be beautiful but she looks so detached, even depressed. It puzzles me.
