Que With the Klinners

Yesterday we joined the Klinner family in Clanton for a good ole southern Fourth of July barbeque "on the grounds" as we like to say.  They opened their lovely Victorian home to us all, and after a plate full of ribs, creamed corn and green beans like my Nanny use to make, I drug myself up and had a field day photographing the whole event. Let's just start with the back porch and work from there shall we?

de belles couleurs, je sais pas pourquoi mais cela me fait penser a une maison de poupée.

I just found your site and I absolutely love it. I grew up in Birmingham and have lived here the majority of my life. I love the concept of finding the beauty in the everyday, especially when it comes to capturing Birmingham and Alabama.

What a super start. Love the rocking chairs and the old butter churn - haven't seen one of those in an age. Can't wait for more great pics.

Great colors. I like the painting on the barrel but I am wondering... what is it for??

V, this is a page from a time past in the South, beautifully maintained. I cannot wait for more!

If this back porch is any indication of things to come, I await with great anticipation the next image.

Great start for the tour. Incidentally, the preview of your book, Paris Rouge, is better than just terrific! Hope that it sells well. I'll check to see if it's available on Amazon, too.

Looks like a nice place to rock and relax! A good seat for watching fireworks, too??

Olivier, oui une maison de poupée bien sûr!

Leif, no fireworks but that's where we ate our lunch in the rockers on the porch.

Kate, I emailed you that it's only available on Blurb. Thank you!
