Located on the crest in Vestavia Hills, the beautiful Sibyl Temple overlooks Shades Valley and farther north to downtown Birmingham. Click here to read more about its origin.
What's with the fascination of that era for Greco-Roman architecture? You're as likely to find a Corinthian column in a contemporary building as a flying buttress. Maybe it has something to do with the huge advances in engineering and building materials. Just don't need those columns any more.
I have lived in Birmingham most of my life. I think it's a beautiful, friendly, and interesting place to live. I hope that my daily photographs portray the diversity of my hometown in a positive and artistic way.

Very nice! We used to live in Vestavia, and I remember when they moved the temple by Hwy 31.
