Tom's Chapeau

My friend Tom is one of the few men I know who still wears a hat.  No, he's the ONLY man I know that still wears a hat.   He left his here on the table Saturday at the Pepper Place, while he went in search of iced coffee for Carol and her dad. They gather religiously in the same spot,  and I love stopping by for a chat while I'm shooting and shopping.  Later I begged him to pose for me.  He consented. Très debonair...as always!

Judging from the hat, I'll be he's the proud owner of a Lab.

Would you like us to make a comment about the hat? I won't... :-))

Thérèse, yes I will. I asked Tom's wife about it and she said that the oil from his hands caused that. Makes sense doesn't it!

It makes a lot of sense to wear a hat if you are a man of a certain age (which I certainly am) and have to go outdoors in the heat and sun. I favor a beat-up old Cardinals cap but I'll never achieve that rakish angle. (Hmm. Rakish is not part of my look.)
