Yes, it's hard to believe, but my blog baby is four years old today. Do the math....1,492 blog posts according to Blogger and 444 followers. On
June 20, 2008, I started this blog with
Eric Tenin as my inspiration. I did it purely to make myself get out there and take more photographs ( little did I know!) so I could improve my skills. What I didn't realize was the world it would open up for me. With the help of Janet Gresham (
Selma AL Photo Blog) I began to make my way into Blog World and what a wonderful world it has been. In these past four years I've made so many wonderful blog and reader friends, many of whom I've had the pleasure of meeting in person. I thank you all for your visits, your emails and your faithful comments. And now, before I start sniffling, I will let Laura Kate blow out the candles and get this party started!!!

My dear Virginia, nothing makes me more happy than seeing a post like this. Four years is quite an achievement and I really hope you're proud of it.
This dailyphoto blogging adventure allowed me to meet very nice people from all over the world and you are definitely one of them. (And just by landing on your page today I can hear your Southern accent loud and clear LOL!)
I wish you a très bon anniversaire and hope to see you soon in... Paris! (I'm sure you won't resist coming back anytime soon ;-))
Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday! Such a cute pix to celebrate both your fourths, and thanks for mentioning me and my blog. After 5-plus years, I gotta get some more pix! BTW, I love visiting Bham thru your blog. Two of my boys live up there now, so I know where I want to go if I ever get back up to visit!
Eric,
Merci ya'll. (Get M. to translate that for you! )
Janet, And again I thank you for getting this blog up and running . I hope we can shoot around B'ham when you come up for a visit. I still want to come back to Selma to have another crack at Old LIve Oak!
Thank you all for your dear birthday wishes. BTW, Laura Kate is 7 now but I dug this photo out of the archives for obvious reasons. :)

And I'm sitting were wearing a funny hat and blowing a noisemaker as I write this. Congratulations! You have shown enormous dedication and I have enjoyed watching your growth as a photographer. Looking forward to seeing you in person later this summer.
Bob,
And I am so appreciative of your guidance and expertise. You've been my mentor and put up with my feistiness, and I appreciate it so very much. Now, when you and C get to B'ham, we're going to have some big fun!
Hugs
