The week before the "blizzard", we had 24 hours of pouring rain and thunderstorms. When it finally let up I took a long walk and then stopped by the Botanical Gardens to check on "spring". Everything was dripping wet, and I enjoyed trying to capture it all.
Please click on each photo and enlarge to catch the raindrops for yourself!

i love the drops ... Flowers are beauty !
Beautiful photos. How have these prettys servived after the rain AND the snow? Anything left? Hope so.
I like the raindrops in the bottom image which carry a perfect magnolia bud in each drop.
Good capture ...
I think you have beautiful magnolias in Alabama, am I wrong? In my mind, South America and magnolias are associated...Too many movies maybe ;-)
The drops make beautiful shots but, in my garden the rain makes my white camelias rusty ...
I love camelias and tulips. I am still waiting to see them here....
Perusing your recent posts, we've noticed how much you've been out and about meeting interesting people, seeing interesting events Your posts are captivating, almost like investigative journalism!
The first photograph "makes my day"!!
I love Camelias and in my grandmother's garden ,there was exactly the same kind...
and with the droplets too! because she lived in a small town in Brittany where you'd better not mind the rain!!!
Beautiful shots, V.! The 1st flower (is it a camellia?) looks like wax! Amazing!
Beautiful shots! Can't avoid thinking of Burt Bacharach each time I read or hear the word raindrop!
beautiful blooms... spring is here.
I'm not often inclined to take purty pitchers of flowers but this is good stuff. The modeling of the droplets and their lighting is gorgeous.
PS: glad you liked today's music clip. Always a surprise.
Pretty flowers so fresh and new! I love our opposite seasons:)
Nice shot. Flowers are beauty!
Congratulations.
Bob, Your music choice today was great. It may never happen again that I say that!HA Your arch was pretty special as well. I'm fairly certain I say that every Arch Thursday .
Peter,
If I still had that Deezer player up and running that's exactly the song I would have chosen!
Alice, Magnolias will be later in the summer I think. I'll post some of them for sure!
I can't tell you how jealous I am that you can capture rain.
Excellent water dropplets!
what is the ee cummings? Not even the rain has such small hands. (well, that's close, perhaps.)
Ah ! These shots are stunning. It seems possible to feel the misty atmosphere.
AH ,
I did not capture rain...just the leftovers but thanks!
Judy, yes we are up and running headlong into spring with all our blooms intact.
Fabrizio, I'm still thinking chocolate and wine from Torino. Oh my goodness!
Leftovers. I like that. These are pretty damned sumptious for leftovers and your main courses are a satiating repaste in themselves. Ooh er missus I'm get above my station here and veering into the poetic metaphor. Hush my sarky mouth.
B, You crack me up and make me take a second look!
Gresham, thanks for your visit!
Greensboro, I can't get to your site. what am I doing wrong???
Just perfect! Have a great day V.
