Forgive me, I am so sorry , but I couldn't stop myself! I visited the Japanese- Americ Society Alabama's Festival at the Japanese Gardens yesterday, and they had this wonderful pool of carp on display! What a beautiful day it was. The Birmingham Botanical Gardens parking lot was FULL. Apparently everyone in Birmingham wanted to get outside and see the cherry blossoms in bloom and take advantage of the beautiful spring weather. Today, two images from my visit. More to come of course!

The World According to Carp.
I am seizing nothing but my aloe vera balsam tissues at the moment but I do have my black kimono on. I am seizing in spirit at least. The water for some reason has caught my attention the most. It's so peaceful.
I would have made the same pun...I am an incurable punster. Lovely carp.

V., that blue, blue water and shock of gold caught me from the thumbnail and pulled me right into the shot. Then, like Eki, I was caught between the blue sky and blossoms of your header and the blue liquidy goodness of the water. So Lovely! Reading through everyone's clever puns was a treat! How nice so many in the community got out to welcome spring. Your beautiful shots say it all.
And Marie's comment about you soon being in Paris soon got me thinking of blossoms across the pond. The whole northern hemisphere is moving into the sunshine. Yippeee!

Virgina, these images are gorgeous! I love the cherry blossoms. This was one of my younger son's favorite outings during the spring of 1989 when he was staying in Birmingham for his radiation treatment. He especially loved the Japanese Garden. Thank you for these wonderful photos. I will make sure he sees this post!
