Monsieur Soleil

Oh I know what you're thinking, "Virginia's gotten her two blogs mixed up again!" While not unheard of , this photograph today is not from Paris, but right here in English Village at the oh so European , Continental Bakery. Monsieur Soleil is a papier-mâché "puppet" for lack of a better word, that was part of the May Day festivities in the spring. I'm a little partial to la tour Eiffel in the background as well. Bon weekend everyone!!!

BLOG WORD A DAY
From Biz Stone's book Who Let the Blogs Out

Blogstipation - Noun. Writer's block for bloggers!

Blogstipation, hahahah, I get that quite often.. What's the cure?
I love the papier mache sun and of course Le Tour in the background. Lovely post as usual.

Oh, I like this! But then I like anything reminiscent of Paris or France that you can find in the U.S.

It's a great composition, too.

oh, I hope you had an apricot croissant for me!

WHAT ?? Apricot croissants have been invented? Where was I? Actually when this was taken I had scarfed down a rather grand pain au chocolat. That was before my "You're Not in Paris Anymore" diet started. I can't go in there for a long time. Sniff, sniff.

FireLight,
War D. Eagle!! Would love to be there for every game.

Daryl,
Yes, their baked goods are the best. Nobody does a baguette like theirs. The pain au chocolat is pretty fab too!
