Ooo I can smell the sap as it oozes out of the bark and the pinesmell as the needles are crushed against the doorjams. Nice arrangement in that final image, VJ/.
These people would definitely become my new best friends. They deliver and set up the tree! Do they come and get it at the end of the season, too? These are fabulous images, V.
I love the combination of pine tree and citrus fruit.
I loved your remark 'They come and set up the tree without griping and complaining, like you know who :-)
I am somewhat ashamed to say that we switched to a plastic tree a long time ago - it all started in Tahiti where there were no pine trees anyway, and continued in Avignon. Very easy to set up and store away, and I presume you can say it saves trees?
Whooohoooo! Merci Daryl. You inspired me so now I'm giving away a Paris THrough My Lens Calendar on my Paris blog. Jump over there and see how it works! V
Thanks everyone for your great comments. May I add the best part about Sweet Peas is the very very nice owners. A pleasure to do business with and they are always so gracious about letting me take photos there.

J'aime bien ces petits jardins "métropolitains" entre deux maisons. belle profondeur de champs sur la dernière photo

The colour contrast in the first and third photographs are quite striking. And lovely!

I teach at Early Arts School which is right behind Sweat Peas. We walk our 4 year old class there every year to see all the pretty things :)
Oh, fun. I love wreaths. I used to make pine cone ones.

KM,
Dear heavens, I don't know that I've ever warmed anyone's cockles so this might be a first pour moi! :)
You crack me up.

Well, 'tis the season, etc. etc. But still, there's something out of whack about citrus fruit on pine boughs. Genetic engineering?
Bob,
Think Williamsburg!
Oh Virginia - I am on the plane tomorrow - will you get me and take me straight there? This is so beautiful - I can almost smell it from here!
The inquiring mind of «Louis la Vache» wants to know if the lemon is symbolic of your disposition if you don't soon get a Paris fix...
He Really has got a beautiful yard !! He seems to be a very professional and kind man !!
I posted a wreath too! But with a modern twist. Great photos.
