I've always loved these beautiful chairs in the parlor of my church. One morning the sunlight was streaming through the window and seemed to make it glow. I was glad I had my camera along.
We have been painting just about every room in our house, and chose a butter yellow for the stairwell and hall. What a lucky choice because the sunlight streaming through the window brightens the interior, just as your photo did for the chair. It's one of the lucky, unplanned moments in time, seeing these sunlight images. Nice job!
Light is the key factor in so many photographs...be it early morning or late afternoon, that's when I get some of my favorite shots. A beautiful chair....

Slow light that enhances the wood. Take your camera everywhere, even to bed! ;)
(Re: my post today!)
comme toujours, une superbe gestion ombres/lumieres, bravo
No no ... no cameras in bed!!
Love the warmth and the shapes of this parlor chair, V. I also like that you have only captured part of the chair.

The kind of light we always remember with part of our heart and recognize when it shows up isn't it?
Sunlight and finished wood, an unbeatable combination. Beautiful composition, V.
When I saw the thumbnail I thought you were starting a Wednesday arch series.
I love when sunlight changes the appearance of things.

Good job, V. What's with the "independent" name? I thought all Presbyterians were "independent"! Heh. Heh!
