Quick, where are we today? Paris you say? Non! We are at one of my favorite places right here in Birmingham, Architectural Heritage. We've been here and here and many other times as well. Today two photos that remind me so much of Paris. Have a look around! ( I snuck in a chair as well. Haven't shown anything for the Table/Chair series lately)
Merci to Roy Morton, the owner. He is always so kind to let me roam around and take photos.

Ah oui, very French!
avec la bouteille, on se croirait vraiment à Paris ;o)
I love this level of detail, Virginia. What is that "thing" on the mantel in the bottom image. No no ... not the bottle ... the other thing ...
I would think he'd be quite pleased to see the striking images his place inspires.
Lovely Parisien chair - did you have a cafe'-au-lait and a croissant zere? Who won your Paris calender??
I have had four dismantled ice cream chairs in my furnace room for years, waiting to be assembled, sanded and painted. Perhaps I should make that a winter project? Aren't antique shops wonderful treasure troves?
Leif,
No food served here but I wish! Shell Sherree won my calendar.
Kate,
Sounds like a good winter project for you since it's snow, snow , snow up there!
Julie,
It's handles of some sort. I'm having lunch near there today and maybe I'll run in and see!
Oliver,
La bouteille de champagne est trés français!!
Brattcat,
I have given him all the photos I've taken as a thank you!
Marl,
Oui!
I absolutely adore that glass work. So beautiful.
Could definitively be French...
Indeed, it looks for all the world like something one would see in Paris! «Louis» thought immediately of Place des Vosges...
I love the rich colors and the still life in the bottom photo.
Lovely .. chairs are so photogenic especially when empty!
This is gorgeous, as is your banner photo. I don't know how you find the time to change those so regularly but it's very entertaining.
Fabulous photos yet again Ms V!!! I especially like the detail shot of the window...what a lovely window!!! I'd love to live, work, play, eat in a building with windows like this!!! Unfortunately, they are few and far between here in SoCal...
wv: garme....short for gendarme????
Eh bien, je pense qu'il est probablement en Alabama. Does Paris have kudzu?
The chair has aged beautifully and found a perfect home.
Bob,
Mais oui, Birmingham a kudzu partout, partout , partout everywhere!!! HA
