Monday I visited the new coffee shop in my neighborhood, Forest Perk. We are thrilled to have them in our Forest Park neighborhood!! All of my Birmingham readers need to stop by and give them some business. They're located next to the Piggly Wiggly on Clairmont.
Owner Caleb Kinsaul and friendly employee Matt

They're so cute I'm moving to Birmingham.
ils sont sympathique tous les deux, je pense que tu as du leur envoyer la photo.
I'm coming over ... because the coffee cups are so nice looking. ;)
Neighborhood coffee shops are so nice to have. Wish them a great success.
May they do well. I so admire these start-ups, particularly during this economy. These guys look brave and eager to make it work. That first shot, the b&w, is terrific.
I am sure you are going to have more comments than usual today!!!
Not easy to start a business these days and I admire those who do.
Piggly Wiggly. Now there is a name I haven't heard in a long time. They haven't been around these parts in an awfully long time.
Forest Park. Have you ever thought about the names we commonly associate with places and things?
I was teaching a class in business to about 50 business owners, some years back, and most wanted to use some of the information I had taught to start new businesses.
The biggest problem they all faced was coming up with a memorable name. Something simple, elegant, and that would look good as a brand.
Forest Park was one of the 2-named names that popped up often. I showed them how big ad agencies come up with new names for clients and most adopted the formula.
Anyway, these business owners seem like a happy lot and I have no doubt the coffee is good.
You did that on purpose. You know I laugh uncontrollably whenever you say Piggly Wiggly.
Send me one, please. Triple shot non-fat latte preferred. I need to get through one more hearing today on a loser case.
I thought Forest Perk was a terrific play on the name of our neighborhood, Forest Park!! May they survive longer than the big bully coffee place that will remain nameless but you know....
Hiker, I knew you'd like it. You know we all call it THE PIG. When you say you're going to The Pig everyone in town knows. We have 3 fairly close to my home. THey have tee shirts that say, "What happens at the Pig , stays at the Pig! " I swear!!. Oh and when my daughter was about 4 she called it the Pigglet Wig!
B2,
they are all over Alabama still. I love it cause it's small and I can get in and out quickly.
Bob,
I don't know nuttin' about a latte.
Abe,
You've done more interesting things in your life!
Tash,
Come on down. I'll buy you a cup.
Petrea, Therese, Bratt,
They are very friendly,. I hope it takes off.
Love your coffee pic and the owners are darling!!! Definitely a destination point!!! V, you do a fabulous job with people pics!!! I think your 100 strangers project has paid off!!!
We're back from our across the seas adventure!!! I took lots of pics (and have only just begun to sort through them!!!) and will be posting at the end of the week!
Thanks for your hints for Paris...we had a lovely time!
Coffee in a paper cup.
I've never quite been able to enjoy that, except of course in emergencies, and I have to confess to having those regularly!

Now V, I wonder why you liked visiting this new coffee house? The coffee or the attractive friedly men. I mean staff! Lol!
They seem really friendly... that's a very good start!
I wish them all the best.
I am not a fan of the other big place so I am sure I would love their coffee.
Yes, but is the coffee any good?
If they have WiFi, I think we found your new office to work on your blog.
Yes, the coffee's good! Come on Birmingham, give em a try!!!
They have real coffee cups too!!!
Paper cup? Virginia Jones, the next thing will be McDs in Paris...
That Caleb is easy on the eyes.
JB,
And perish the thought, Mc D's au Louvre!!!
I am guessing the coffee is as good as these two guys are handsome .. a perfect combo!
If they were in my neighborhood, I'd be there in a skinny minute to get my skinny latté!
These two guys are going to have to have bodyguards if any of you ladies come to Birmingham! I might have to drop by again myself! :)
Hmmmmm, Birmingham's lookin' pretty good!!!
I could use a job...bodyguard...might be kind of fun!!! But I'm not sure about the commute....
