Santa Claws?

When it snowed a few weeks ago, this lion, and his matching pal, looked even more festive all decked out on my neighbors' front porch. Ho Ho Ho......grrrrrr.

DON'T FORGET!
I'll be giving away a Paris Through My Lens Calendar on Christmas Eve. Go to my Paris Blog
and leave me a comment letting me know you want to put your name in the chapeau for the drawing!

Reminds me of the lions in front of the Chicago Art Museum. We have neighbors who have two lions in front of their entrance. One year I quietly put red bows around their necks; this year I shopped at Goodwill, found two green wreaths and placed them around the lions (in the dead of night). I wonder if they have figured out who their decorator is?! HO! Ho! Ho! yourself!!

Steel High School, in the olden days, was downtown on Main Street in Dayton and they had lions like this. I wonder, sometimes, what ever happened to them. Looks like pollution is already done a number on this beast and I suppose his countenance won't last much longer.

What a fine looking lion with his frosting of snow. I found myself searching for a lamb to lie down with him.

Oh Virginia, j'adore cette photo! Rien de plus noble que ce lion de voisinage.
Le roi des animaux qui, habillé de sa perruque, se prend pour le roi soleil.
Bonne traduction... lol

Ha! I thought it was an Old English Sheepdog in the portal and then got enlightened. Love it. His expression is priceless with that hat and garland.

Oh oh! Winner of today's gratuitous cuteness award! That thing on its head looks like a strawberry torte, which reminds me that my daughter and son-in-law are about to serve dessert.
