Stranger # 100 !!!!!!!
Drum roll puhleeze!!! I've hit ONE HUNDRED STRANGERS! Meet Maria. As you know, I don't usually put a name with a face when I post my 100 Strangers. I don't know why, but I just want to share this lovely lady's name, since she holds the place of honor today. I guess if you want to "nit pick" as we say down south, she might not be an absolute stranger to me. When I frequent
The Cantina, she is usually there, smiling and very busy. A few days ago I went for lunch, and she waited on me. After I finished my delicious fish taco, I asked if I could take her photograph. She agreed, so I ran to the car for my camera. She graciously posed while I found the right light. Maria, thank you for being my Stranger Number 100!
Now there's some blog chatter about what I'll do next. Well.......I'm going to keep right on. Why would I stop now?

Don't stop; I enjoy your strangers...and you didn't have your camera beside you to take a photo of your fish taco, too???
Perhaps, I'll be # 200.
E-mail ol' «Louis» a breakfast burrito, willya?
He's been busy bloggin' an' ain't had tahm fer breakfast...
Good choice! Of your mighty 100, though, it's hard to beat the hunky French waiter.
Hker,
Ahhh oui, the hunky French waiter. That's a nice memory but he would be one of my 100 FRENCH Strangers. I'm up to 60 or so there. I think I need to go back so i can find more!:)
B2,
You could be #101 you know. Come on up!
Louis,
I'd like a pain au chocolat myself
I think that you need to go "On Tour" and do guest strangers in all of our cities...your room is ready in Cincinnati!
Go for 200!
If anyone can do it, you can. ;-)
You left you camera in the car? #100 is lovely .. cant wait to see the next 100
I guess you all think I sleep with my camera!HA Well I'm not THAT bad. Sometimes it stays in the car.
I'd frequent The Cantina, too, with such a lovely person waiting tables! Nice 100th stranger portrait, V.
I thought the higher the number the stranger the stranger...but, nooooo...she's very pretty!
Why keep counting? Just go out and make more good pictures of interesting people. You know, quality, not quantity. You're pretty good at the former.
So V...are you going to go back to Paris to find more strangers to "shoot" or to find another hunky French waiter???
1000 has a nice ring to it!
Congrats on 100 Strangers!
Congratulations, V. I hope you don't stop here, I hate to think what we might miss!
I'm so impressed!
That's a challenge I would be hard pressed to take!
(I'm too shy and am generally disappointed with the "posed" photos I take - I so much prefer catching people in action!)
This is a lovely portrait - thanks to Maria for being so nice.
Woo Hoo! Congrats! I wish I could eat a fish taco there...
Well done, my friend. Sorry to have missed this on the day. Surprisingly, once the aim is achieved a good deal of the pleasure evaporates, and you need to reinvent the task.
