Stranger # 99
Meet my new friend Voris Williams. Voris opened Doggone Books - Used Books & Other Neat Stuff , in "downtown" Irondale when he retired. Actually he really was a stranger for the first minute and a half after I walked in to have a look around. After that we starting visiting and found out we had a mutual friend and learned a lot about each other! Voris is Stranger #99. One more to go. It could be this week. Stay tuned. Oh and did I buy anything here? You bet, a pocket map of Paris! :)

Book lover «Louis» thinks he probably would have a splendid time in Doggone Books.
;-)
It's bookstores already, doggone read it!!
Without the beard he could be my Dad...
V, I love his happy face and smile and look at his shirt pocket....get this man a two pocket shirt. He's got lots to carry around. Great shot in a special locale.
beau portrait bien mis en valeur avec la bibliotheque
What a happy guy. Just the kind to run a bookstore.
I'd have bought something from him even if I didn't need it. Remind me to tell you a funny story I had with my very, very outdated Paris street/bus map....
He must have been an engineer before he retired, but he does need a pocket protector.
Great stranger.
Book stores should be an 'experience' and this owner totally gets it. I'm sure I'd be a regular customer here.
What a wonderful smile!

You realize that I could be #100? Be forewarned.
Voris, is that a southern name? First for me, but I like it. I also like his face, book people are always a delight.
If I was retired I'd be happy, too. That plus, I'm guessing, some terrific window light makes for a great portrait.
Nicely done, V. Looks like you really connected with this fellow!
Voris looks exactly like the kind of guy you'd like to own your neighborhood book store. I love these places and can lose myself in them for hours.
A cool portrait, V!
Very fun portrait and bookstore!!! I think we all could make a field trip out of this!!!
wv: antinc...a cross between an antique and a ???
Genuine portrait, what you see is what you get. Good one for #99 VJ. Looking forward to you making the ton!!

Hey V, that's the Empire Diner. It's still here! The Cheyenne...who knows! !!!
Oh, I think I like Voris. I know I like his store.
