A Glimpse of Spring

Pepper Place

And that's about all we're going to have for a few days. Friday and Saturday we had our first sunshine sightings and warmer temps in what seems like weeks. Birmingham seemed to finally be waking from a long winter's slumber. Well today Mother Nature is going to flex her muscles once more. Rain and possible snow showers are expected today and tonight. I'm muttering under my breath. Don't ask.

Aftenoon Update: Mother Nature just called and said, "Just kidding!" It's poured all morning but now I think I see something bright in the sky. Wonder what that is???

V, This must be Mother Nature's way to say "Hang in there - it WILL happen - you WILL get SPRING".......lets hope so.

Well you just keep going back and looking at this delicate beauty you've captured and that should help get you through any setbacks...I know it will help me!

The weather has been so ODD! But this and your banner are a tonic for what ails me. I hope you have sunshine soon!

These blossoms are so beautiful. Such wonderful soft subtle colour. If it makes you feel better it's raining here too!

Fantastic floral images, both in this post and in the masthead photo.

Hello V - just having a look round your interesting blog.
What gorgeous blossoms - hope it doesn't freeze on them or they'll go all brown and sad.

Beautiful flowers V!!! Do you know what kind they are???

We missed you at the gathering yesterday...I brought broccoli, bacon, raisin, and peanut salad...which, to make a long story short...I found out, is actually supposed to be southern food!!! So I figured it was in honor of you!!!

The bright thing in the sky is moi flexing her acerbic wit and muttering under her breath. I'm slowing finding my blogging mojo, so visitations upon you are are nigh. 'Tis a beautiful Spring image, though the threat of it persisting down from the clouds does not bode well.

How about that? I was just listening to Beethoven's Spring Sonata on my trusty iPod. We got one row of daffodils in Forest Park but that's about it. We're Yankees, after all.

Busy weekend for me ... but on the way to pick up the car I walked up Riverside Drive and at the Soldiers Sailors Monument I was rewarded with some adorable crocus and some lazy daffodils .. so far only buds dot the trees .. I look forward to the tulip and magnolia trees that bloom along the Broadway malls here ...
