Mon Nouveau Parapluie

"Into each life some rain must fall." I say just pop open your chic Parisian parapluie and enjoy the view overhead.

Ella Fitzgerald and the Ink Spots have a tune for you today. You'll be very sorry if you don't give it a listen!

* I'm not at all certain my français is correct today.....quelle surprise! Correction s'il vous plait.

Il est beau !

Of course you may join though I didn't start it. Clueless in Boston who participates pointed out to me that it was started by Isadora of Budapest Daily Photo.

I like your new 'pépin,' slang for 'parapluie,' probably a bit old by now. 'Pépin' also could be slang for trouble of some small sort, but that's another story.

I like your umbrella better than my Impressionist version of Parisian monuments!

Great photo, with that angle.

Mary,
Here you go!

I got the foldup one. J'adore,

Bibi,
pépin meaning some trouble would fit me nicely as well! HA

Alice, I checked three translators and finally went with this one. My guess was "Mon parapluie nouveaux". I still think it's correct! HA

Damn. I was going to write "quelle surprise" in my comment about the umbrella and then I read the rest of your text. I'm so brain dead this afternoon that all I can do is stare at the Pont Neuf here and sigh, "un kir royal,s'il vous plaît." Wouldn't it be nice.

Mon nouveau parapluie, mon joli nouveau parapluie, mon très joli nouveau parapluie parisien, mon nouveau parapluie gris...
Don't worry, Virginia, knowing the right place for the adjectives in French is SO difficult that you must spend more than some days here... But it can be another good reason to come again, don't you think so?

Alice,
You are so right. Usually the adjective is after the noun ( or so I thought!). Grrrr. Mais oui, I simply must come back and play, I mean work really, really hard on my français! :)

Bob,
Gaze at the Pont Neuf all you want and I'll have champagne, s'il vous plait. You ARE paying ouii?
