Wavy Flag

Wednesday's deluge made photography very difficult. I spotted the doorway of the Financial Center downtown, then had to circle the block for a parking spot. With umbrella and camera in tow I did the best I could to capture the photo above. Ever tried to take pictures while holding an umbrella? Good grief!

You should do more photos while holding an umbrella! :)

le reflet sur la premiere photo est magique, on dirait une peinture abstraite...

Shooting and holding an umbrella is definitely a challenge! I know ... been there and will probably be there again -:) An interesting flag abstract.

BTW, I like your spring banner ... I do hope it helps usher in spring like weather!

You are so dedicated, Virginia.
But what a prize you got! Cool.
Long may she wave.

You are much better coordinated than «Louis»...He would not have been able to manage this!

You are soooo dedicated. And we are soooo appreciative. What an excellent image you got for your effort. Sometimes we go out of our way for a shot and it really doesn't measure up to its potential but this is a home-run, V.

it is difficult to determine that you were shooting one handed. Maybe an umbrella cap would keep you hands free.

"Real" photographers do whatever it takes! Glad you hung in there. A very interesting photo.

Add to that a strong wind, and it is all but impossible.

You need to get one of those beany umbrella hats. They work on sunny days too. At least you had athe courage to get out in the rain. I have been hibernating. Great shot BTW.

1. Yes. It doesn't work, or at least I can't do it.

2. Pretty cool picture after all! It's visual and perception bending. We're you taking some non-prescription medication?

Nice job, girlfriend. I'm no good at those under-the-umbrella shots!

V, An umbrella may have to become a part of your regular "gear". Great photo - rain or shine.
