For my Jewish friends here in Birmingham and around the world who are celebrating Hanukkah.  This photograph was taken at Temple Emanu-El.

Thank you Virginia for your beautiful picture and wishes.
Unfortunately this Chanuka has turned into a national disaster here in Israel. Mount Carmel is burning.

I just read a bit about Mt Carmel burning...a tragedy of horrific proportions...Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected...

Hi V, yea all my recent shots were taken at Washington Square Park. I just take the zoom lens, and wait for the shot. Turkey shoot!

So very pretty. And I heard about the fire driving home today. The only good news is, the neighboring countries, including Jordan, Egypt, and Turkey, are really pitching in to help save the forest. Good for them.
