Established soon after the founding of Birmingham, Southside Baptist Church has been a presence in our city, providing meaningful programs and community outreach.
For the life of me, I couldn't tell what this was from the thumbnail. Now I wonder if you went to see the Parthenon. At Baptist church in our outer suburbs got completely flattened by a tornado on New Year's Eve. I think this place would have held up better.
I have lived in Birmingham most of my life. I think it's a beautiful, friendly, and interesting place to live. I hope that my daily photographs portray the diversity of my hometown in a positive and artistic way.

I was married there in 1995, and my parents were married there in 1972. Many good memories.

Katherine,
How nice of you to leave this great comment. I'm pleased you enjoyed this post.
Bob,
This is a very sturdy and lovely church!
Ted Tibbs was the organist at Southside Baptist church for many years. He died recently. May light perpetual shine upon him.
He founded the BHM Chamber Music Society and was a wonderful contributor to the arts in the city.
