The one on the left is what we used to take baths in on Saturday night. Put it on the kitchen floor, fill it with water from the reservoir on the stove and you were ready to clean off a week's worth of grime.
This could almost be an optical illusion! At first look I thought they were both upside down... But then kept looking and they almost flipped over. Or maybe I just need to get my eyes checked.
I have lived in Birmingham most of my life. I think it's a beautiful, friendly, and interesting place to live. I hope that my daily photographs portray the diversity of my hometown in a positive and artistic way.
I am a former elementary school teacher, a full-time photographer, part-time painter, lover of all things French ( whose français is slowly improving), obsessive Paris traveler, enthusiastic art museum volunteer, grateful community volunteer, and grandmother to 5 delightful grandchildren.

A well-named place, I see! :)
Sorry for lack of comments last week. I was out of town until yesterday. Wanna guess where....?
Makes me want to grab a pair of chopsticks and start tapping out rhythms.
Love it!

Rip,
Glad you're back in blogworld! Keep it up!
Thanks everyone for stopping by on a Saturday!
I could not do a figure-ground on the thumbnail of this. They looks like talismans of a remote culture.
Perfect framing.
