Drumming to Beat Cancer

Last Saturday was Cancer Survivor's Day at the Pepper Place Market. A lot of great talent and hopefully a lot of money raised.   DrumSTRONG welcomed anyone who wanted to grab a drum and join in.  Led by the very energetic John Scalici, who directs the Get Rhythm drum circle programs, everyone, young and old had the place jumping!  More photos to come!

LAST CALL FOR MY UPCOMING PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS THAT BEGINS THIS COMING MONDAY EVENING. IF YOU'D LIKE TO JOIN US, CONTACT ME !!!

What a riot! I am in a drumming group and currently am making arrangements to drum at STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER in Rochester. Already drummed at a half-marathon...it was a gas, and the runners loved it!

This is another organization I've not heard of, but it sounds like they're drumming up money for cancer research. Can't "beat" that!

It takes more that a drum to overcome cancer. I think people often don't understand that this is a bunch of different but related diseases. I'm a cancer survivor, if you want to put it that way, although the treatment wasn't very dramatic (one surgery, then all gone). But it's all about research money. Every drumbeat helps.
