Stairway to Record Heaven

It's a long way up but worth the climb.  At the top you'll find Charlemagne Records (since 1977).  Vintage records and tapes galore.  Last weekend I made my first visit with Cincinnati DJ and record enthusiast Jay Gilbert ( aka Uncle Jay Explains the News).  He had a great time flipping through the stacks while I took pictures.

Tell Uncle Jay that I picked up a copy of Head, Hands and Feet's "Tracks" for a mere €50 yesterday

This would be an enjoyable place to browse. To my wife's disappointment, I sometimes say that my musical tastes stopped developing after Woodstock.

Looks like quite a place. I could spend some time here. Any 45s or just albums? Any Cliff Richard?

Bird, I think there were 45's and tapes too. I don't know about CLiff!

JB,
you were robbed! :)

Dave, then you would have loved this place!

Looks like a classic place. I love that it's upstairs. Of course, the a.c. better be working overtime or there might be warped vinyl.

The stairway reminds me of an old vintage record store in Claremont, by the Claremont colleges...it was a cool place to browse...but I think it's long gone...
