The 16th Street Baptist Churchsuch a part of Birmingham's history and the Civil Rights Movement. This afternoon I spotted this man taking his young son to see this historic place.
Nice shot. The parent-child connection in an image like this is always evocative. The formality and awe of entering church has changed a lot over the years. It would never have crossed my mind to wear shorts or flapping shirttails when entering Queen of Angels.

Looks very familiar! Must've seen it on the news back in those days!!!
