National Read Aloud Day...........

9 days late. Forgive me, but I couldn't let the day pass unnoticed! As a third grade teacher for 20 years, the best part of the day for me was reading aloud to my classes after lunch. It was a special time to enjoy good books and talk about them. I thought this recent photo of my friend reading to her son was a great image to celebrate!

This will be THE classic shot in the photo album of the child here. This was with my mom when I was ?

A marvelous shot, and getting started reading can never be too early.

And you're right. They are both gorgeous and light is perfect.

Our daughter has been reading to Madeleine in English and French since before she could sit up.

We cherish time reading to our grandchildren .. not only because we enjoy the time with them but because reading aloud really does have a significant impact .. we are also pleased that our grandchildren enjoy the books we send as presents .. especially when we record of voices reading the books to them .. great post.
