I visited Park Lane Flowers in English Village yesterday and hit pay dirt! Not only did I get to photograph this lovely window display, but I met a new friend who had been to Paris in December. She was here from New Mexico visiting family, and we had such a nice visit over coffee and croissants next door at Continental Bakery . I love this window because it reminds me of an abstract stained glass window!

You are right - it does look like an abstract s-g-w. I love all the colors. So since money can't grow on trees, this is the next best thing (after fruit of course).

A wonderful new take on the southern tradition of a bottle tree. So very beautiful and inspiring. I have a window coverd in grapevines and crystals, some bottles might be a good addition to it. Thanks for the inspiration!

Hanging bottles! That is different from the ones I've seen where the bottles go on the tree rim-first. A very striking photo.
New Mexico and Paris--two of my most favorite spots on earth! Lucky you to be enveloped in the aura of both. The bottles are colourful and perfect for a photo.Your banner reminds me of DC in spring.
Guess I should clarify. These are bottles that are for small votive candles and you can hang them in the trees for parties etc. There is a metal base and the glass slides up so that you may insert the candle.

I love bottle trees and I love this photograph. Is a bottle tree an American thing? My best buddy in Ohio has one, all blue bottles - it's lovely. I don't believe I'd heard of such a thing before but perhaps I just hadn't come across one.

Bergson, I think there is a tradition for a bottle tree that you mention, but this is just a beautiful display that I thought reminded me of a Parisian window!

I love the idea! The different color bottles definitely add a lot to the scene.
Imagine if those were thrown in to the sea and a few decades later, come back as smooth sea glass.
Love the colors here. I remember viewing a photo where bottles were hung from pear trees, the pears would grow inside the bottle.
