Serenity

The Japanese Gardens at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens is a lovely serene place. The last time I posted photographs here, I made a new and very special friend. Since then we have shared a leisurely lunch and exchanged many emails. I decided to let her choose the photograph she liked best for this post. (She chose my favorite.) Quelle surprise!

Nice. There's a Japanese Garden here in part of the Botanical Garden, but it is not well maintained. Shame.

You and your friend making abilities! It's a great talent!

Lovely! I can just imagine a candle (okay, okay, a bulb) inside lighting some charming path.

I've been wanting to visit the Japanese Gardens. I met a blogger buddy there last month, but had the grandkiddies with me. We hung out around the fountain and the waterlily ponds. Ever since I've been wanting to go back. Your photo has reinforced that feeling.

It seems obvious why the two of you became friends - same tastes, same excellent eye, same artful cognitive awareness!

Love it!

oh, today while driving around I found the most wonderful thing - you may know about it already. I saw they have opened a school of carousel animal carving on southside. have you see it. I was in love.
