A few short weeks ago I had a most wonderful visit with my dear blog reader Judy and fellow bloggers in the Los Angeles area. One afternoon and evening was spent in photogenic South Pasadena. Laurie, Glimpses of South Pasadena, showed us all around and can you believe it, I recognized some hot spots from her blog! Actually, I have more, so stay tuned!

Oh! So wonderful, Virg. And to think, I was walking around with you when you captured these great shots of my hood. Beautiful work.
Looks vaguely familiar. Love the angle you caught on Busters, and the colors.
Love the Buster's shot!!! I have a shot of Buster's that I was planning on framing...but now I really like yours better!!! And a wonderful shot of the arch, too!!!
V, Return trip for sure! When we went past Buster's I didn't need more coffee BUT I didn't realize they had Fosselman's Ice Cream.....we gotta go there. Laurie - thanks for being the perfect guide!
Ahh, it's so lovely to linger over this trip with all of you. V, these shots really show the pleasure of your experience. They are popping with life and color.
I love SoCal.
Pretty part of a not so pretty state ... LOVE that red sweatshirt
Daryl: Try Yosemite, check out San Francisco, check out the redwoods, visit Santa Barbara!
Ha, lovely, lovely, V! You did it justice. I'm thinking Daryl hasn't seen much of California. Come visit, Daryl! Earl, allow me to add Anza Borrego, the Big Sur, Lake Tahoe, Lassen National Forest...
...Mt Lowe, Mt Whitney, Coronado Island, Sierra Madre, Joshua Tree, Napa Valley ... (now we get all huffy).
(And redundant)
Funny, KB!
I love MY backyard! Y'all come.......
Santa Monica, Cambria, Carmel, Monterey, Santa Cruz, Inverness...
Oh, and that little ole redwood forest is nothing to sneeze at.
Who's huffy and redundant now? :-)
Ladies and Gentlemen, what we have here appears to be another War Between the States, and for once I don't have a dog in this fight so I"m saying , "Good night! " ! You all are cracking me up!

V...it may be time to duck and cover!!!
It doesn't have to be a fight. Let's just invite Daryl for a visit.
Excellent idea!!!
Wonderful color in the Busters shot. Has a great, old-timey feel to it. Seems like you had some really nice guides and companions.
Adore that first shot. Beautifully composed and those colours.
