PPP's - Pepper Place People I

Becky and Jane share a lighthearted moment. Becky and daughter Amy sell beautiful cut flowers from her farm, and Jane and her husband ( aka The Maple Man) sell red maples and some gorgeous vine baskets. Be sure and stop by and say hello when you're there. BTW, Becky is also one of my former photography students. She was not only great fun, but took some terrific photographs!

Well why on earth didn't I think of this long ago? Let me introduce you to some new and old friends that I meet each and every Saturday at the Pepper Place. Today, three very special friends. More in weeks to come.

"The Big Swede"

This is Beau Gustafson. Beau is a REAL photographer, and I'm happy to call him my friend. He's also a tai chi instructor and a sculptor and I don't know what else. He's multi-multi- talented I'm thinking. For once, I caught the photographer without a camera in front of his face!

Virg, I think all the world is your friend. (Oh, to make your living raising flowers. Why didn't I think of that?)

Hiker,
It's not too late. Just look how well the banana plant, I mean economic indicator, is doing!

Cathy,
I laughed when he said Tai Chi as well. I'm going to take that class!

Hack, Oh we would show you some southern hospitality. Come on!

Great portraits Virginia. This is something I so need to improve on. I'm envious of your talent.

Great spirit there too. I look forward to more Pepper place portraits!

And I wanted to add - interesting white V shape behind Beau. It centers the composition in very powerful way. Sheer luck or well thought-out ?

Oh Nathalie my observant one! Well those are two white tents that the vendors use. I will admit it was luck. I was sitting on a bench watching the world go by and Beau came striding up. I was snapping quickly to catch him unaware! But you're right, it does add something!

And your portraitsi are wonderful. I"m still swooning over the 3 girls before the wedding.
