Yesterday I took myself to a place I've been eyeing for a long time.
On a Shoestring, in the Bluff Park neighborhood on Shades Mountain, is just a great place for photographs, antiques and collectibles, of course. ( Note to self: Take photography students here!!!) The couple that owns the store are just so friendly, and I had a grand time poking around the place. I have a lot of photos to share in the future. Today, the back of the old, red caboose on the property that houses the 50% off items!

Oh my, you ARE leaving yourself open to snide remarks...
l'enseigne doit être aussi a vendre ;)
Adore this.
(If anyone were to leave snide remarks, I would have thought they'd show up on the last post.)
50% off is where I'd start.
That red siding is so rich in texture and color.
Est-ce que vous avez acheté quelque chose dans cette boutique? Un vieux vase, de la vaisselle, un livre ancien, un vieux meuble?
Je vois que, même l'enseigne ANTIQUES, est très vieille !
Love the colors here. Nice shot.
Red! Wonderful.
JB,
I know what you're thinking, "Takes one to spot one!" You're not far behind me you know, so you'd better watch it!
Claudine,
Non,rien!!! :(
Hiker,
Our dear Marley would have left a zinger on yesterday's post. I miss him. I email him now and again and check on him. I've told him we miss his wonderful wit!
That caboose looks authentically antique!
I think I've been there before....and if I'm thinking of the same place, it was great fun poking around there.
What is this 'old barn day'? And no one told me????
superbe matière
Um, well, they aren't spending a lot on signage. I hope the prices of the merchandise reflect that.
Browsing antique stores---absolutely my idea of a fun way to spend a day.
I love the colors. At first (and if I squint my eyes a little now) it almost has an abstrct quality to it, which I always like.
Must visit and let you drag me around.
