Cha-Ching!!

Those were the good ole days! We've been to On a Shoestring , in Bluff Park before. We'll be back again. A wonderful place in Birmingham to revisit days gone by.

I actually remember many of the smaller stores having these when I was growing up. Nice.

Il y a vraiment de jolis objets dans cette boutique! Pensez-vous que cette caisse enregistreuse fonctionne encore?

A potter friend (sadly long gone) used to tell felow potters about his (vaguely Oriental-sounding) Chaching glaze. (There's shino and similar sounding glazes, so it was a perfect set-up"
"Chaching?" they'd say "Never heard of it"
"Yep" he said "As soon as customers see it,"Chaching" goes the cash register..!"

That sure is one perdy cash register.

This one's a beauty: photo and subject. Somehow I'm thingking anyone living "on a shoestring" doesn't have a chance at purchasing it.

But not like STL "Casinos Are Us." This has a nostalgic charm. All technology must pass.

I'm expecting some heat on my Monday post but you'll like it.
