September Theme Day - Open Air Markets

Today is the first of the month and you know what that means..........CITY DAILY PHOTO THEME DAY! !!! Hooray for this month's theme - open air markets! You can imagine that this month I didn't even break a sweat trying to come up with a photo!

Around the world CDP bloggers are sharing the open air markets in their cities. I can't wait to visit them all. I hope you will too!

As always, dear Virginia, so original. Love this- the carrots seem almost to be talking. Perhaps I haven't woken up properly yet!

Nice one, right down to the droplet on the tip of the rootstock

Crispy carrots! And look at that one little drop, just hanging on.

Perfect for today! Nothing says 'open air market' like someone grasping a bunch of carrots trying to make their way through a crowd.

Those carrots look very fresh and ooooh so good!

I have to tell you, I was so concerned with coming up with something interesting for Theme Day (which I couldn't do,incidentally), that I forgot today was our anniversary. True story! I sure hope the hospital has Wi-Fi. Love the carrots, Bugs.

And thanks everyone for not pointing out that even my title had trouble deciding between open air and outdoor! I've fixed it for now.

C'est très agréable d'acheter les légumes et les fruits au marché! J'aime surtout quand ils sont bio!

Oops, theme day! Zipped right past me. I can relate to this one. They got a lot of root vegetables around here. Is that a droplet of water on the tip of the lowest carrot?

Great looking carrots, just stay away from those pre-packaged soapy tasting baby carrots.

Bob and JB, Oh yes that 's a tiny droplet. I didn't notice it till I got the photo up. I love it!

Thanks everyone. As you know, I've got a stash a mile deep of market photos. Maybe tomorrow a stranger! :)

Yes, I am sure you have quite a library to choose from, but I happen to really like this shot.

BTW, JB will begin selling his Comeback Sauce in local stores. Keep an eye out. It is delicious.

Now THAT's a sparkly 5 karat photo! I mean carrot. You make it look so easy, V. Great eye and marvelous market shot.

PS, until I came here I had forgotten it was the first of the month. . .so THANKS. I had to run and post something myself, then came back to enjoy. -K

PS2 - Did you see that you have a comment from "Bug Bunny"! And someone else speaking to you in an Elmer Fudd voice?
