A Pumpkin Farewell

Today we bid a fond farewell to all things pumpkin.  This last photograph is courtesy of my neighbors who live across the street and had this charming array of pumpkins in their yard. Tuesday the tree had turned just the perfect color and I took a few steps up in my yard and caught it.  Around Birmingham, Christmas decorations are showing up at an alarming rate.  I won't knuckle under to peer pressure!!! I have Black Friday to get through with my new job. Wish me bonne chance!

Oh, and might I add a big WAR EAGLE!!!

Well, the people who live across from you have good taste in neighbors.

Good luck on Friday, Dear V!

I will do another couple of pies, then it's gingerbread for me....until I leave for India for Christmas and New Year's, then it's curry....

I like your lineup!

Beautiful colors - that's part of what I think is wonderful about fall. Don't let 'em get you down on Friday, V!

Thanks everyone! I'm almost ready to head out the door. It's raining and still dark. Oh my goodness!

Beautiful shot - the tree cooperated just in time! That's one thing I liked about B'ham - the brilliant fall colors usually faded and fell just in time for Christmas decorations. It seems odd down here (Mobile area) for trees to be red and orange with Christmas lights up.

Good luck with Black Friday

WAR EAGLE!!!

Great shot...you won't have to wait on me. Staying at home with a good movie and a cup of hot cocoa : 0

Hey, I'm upright out here on the prairie. Nice to have an enforced absence from work. Pumpkins are all come and gone this far north (we're just south of the Kansas-Nebraska border). Andy has a killer recipe for roasting-all-this great stuff inside a pumpkin, if you're ever interested.

I met someone in line at Macy's today (black friday isn't black at all, by the way). And she reminded me so much of you. We had such a good time in line, we were sorry it ended. Get out here soon!!!

Hiker,
Oh that made my day. I will get there but it will be after the trip to Paris. That will give you all time to make the bumper stickers. I think there should be some kind of contest! HA

Bob,
you on a farm still makes me smile.

Thank you everyone. I had a great day at my new job and my AUburn Tigers ROCKED!!!

Ok, but I bought six cashmere scarves (because you and a friend in Belgium have totally swayed me to the French way of dressing), two of them of the same pattern because one is for you.

CASHMERE? Well bring it on. I have so many scarves now when I buy a new one, I give one or more away. I'm so glad I've become a fashion inspiration darlin'! :)
