No. 1 Kodak Jr.

I love old cameras.  I am really grateful that I discovered my passion for photography at this time in my life, but when I see old cameras like this, I wish I'd found it long ago.  I dabbled in film photography by taking really, really bad photographs of my girls as they grew up,  and I got a little better when the first 2 grandbabies came along.  Now digital works for this "immediate gratification" photographer, but I still wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of these fine old boys.

Old cameras make beautiful displays of beautiful objects.

Vintage cameras certainly are treasures, but I am so happy that digital cameras have transferred photography for the non-professional.

"Getting your hands on a fine old boy" are you sure that you mean a camera?

Beautiful camera...but, I wouldn't have survived using one of these. Oh, the amount of film I would have wasted trying to figure out the correct exposure!

It would be fun to see some of your early work.

Great camera. Great shot.

I will be sure to take you up on your offer if I make it to B'ham.

I agree, I would never have the patience to wait on film and also would be dead broke from all the wasted photographs. I'm very thankful for digital.

Hiker,
I took the worst shots ever of my children. I"m embarrassed!

This is not my camera, I shot it at What's on Second in downtown, B'ham.

I took a photography class in High School...way back when...loved it, but by the time I got to college, I didn't think I could afford it either...of course, didn't think about the fact that I'd be doing all my own processing...Now that I've gone digital...it's still just as expensive!!! You've got processing programs, lenses, that new and improved camera body, tripod........

Saw quite a lot of them at the Kodak Museum in Rochester while I visited my son.
