School's Out!!!

I would guess most schoolchildren ( and their teachers) across Alabama are enjoying this their last week of school.  This means an exodus to the Alabama/Florida Gulf coast for family fun.  I wouldn't mind wiggling my toes in that white powdery sand myself. I'll just have to settle for this bowl of starfish on my coffee table for now!

Hah. From the thumbnail this looked like undercooked french fries. I couldn't wait to open up the image and see what you'd captured. How delightful to discover the ornate limbs of starfish!

How far is it to the Gulf Virginia?

Luis, about 4 1/2 hours. Let's go!

Brattcat, HA, I can see that.

Bergson, Merci

Megi, thank you for your nice comments.

Yes!!! Summer has begun! I am actually headed north before we head down south, though!

There is another month left in school here but those starfish are very tempting.

School has finished here, but only for a week, they go back again until end of July.

Lovely photo!! Very pretty. Nice repetition of form. I'd like a vacation, but we're stuck at home because of the flooding here.

I'm just admiring your photo...such crisp details, so pleasingly composed.
My son is out on the 12th. I'm so ready for summer.

I had no idea what this was from the thumbnail. It's so full of pattern. I'd like to see this shot inside a window, covered with late afternoon sun.

Makes a good coffee table decoration. And I've said it before, you can take a gorgeous photo of anything!
