Eddie

Sunday while I was showing Daryl around downtown,  I had to stop and show her the Eddie Kendricks Memorial Park on 4th Avenue North.  This lovely urban park is a fitting tribute to the Temptation's lead singer,  and Birmingham is proud to call  him our own.  Artist Ronald McDowell was the perfect choice for capturing Eddie doing what he did best.

Of course I have a tune for you today. I've chosen my all time favorite song!

It seems like a hundred years ago when 'My Girl' hit the charts. I was 16 and clueless about my life's journey. Thanks for the memory!

It's quite special, isn't it? I can almost hear the music playing now.
Such a fun post!

Hello from Montreal.

That is so vivid! Way better than average. We're getting a statue of St. Louisan Chuck Berry installed in a day or two with an official dedication in a month. The sculptor once asked me for permission to use my picture of one of his other works in a book, so I'm going to hit him up for a media pass on this one.
