Birmingham Rouge - The 'Maters are in Season


Sometimes at the Pepper Place the produce looks so good, you just can't wait till you get home.   Down here, it's not a good tomato if the juice doesn't run down your arm! I think he found a good one.

Normally watching people eat is not my favorite pastime, but this is a super photo with the juice dripping from the plump ripe tomato.

In another two weeks my tomatoes in the garden will be a 'go' and a few won't make it down the hill to the kitchen. They'll end up going this route. Ah...

I don't know what the local tomatoes come in around here. I heave that to the family Agriculture Department. We sure didn't grow anything we ate when I was a kid.

Nothing better than a farm fresh tomato!!! But I can't say I've ever eaten one like a peach before...
