Mary, actually I found the photo and the more I stared at it , it took on that Escher like quality so I went off to find a link and stumbled on his quotes.

I knew it. As I first studied this photo I though, "she's been staring at Escher. Wonder what's up with that?" Bingo. No clear sense of our position in space.
I have lived in Birmingham most of my life. I think it's a beautiful, friendly, and interesting place to live. I hope that my daily photographs portray the diversity of my hometown in a positive and artistic way.
