Capturing the Sunset

A few weeks ago three dear friends and I gathered on Lake Martin for Girls' Night at the Lake.   The weather was perfect, and I had my camera clicking almost nonstop (when I wasn't talking, laughing, eating and drinking wine).  My good friend ( and former photography student) Angelyn couldn't let the sun set without a few snaps herself.

Looks light your photography lessons have taken hold with her.

I am working on a collection of photos of my wife taking photos. My favorite is a photo that shows only her shadow (and that of her tripod and camera) from the backlit sun through the steam of a geyser field high in the Andes in the Atacama Desert.

That's a lovely shot.

Dave, my husband is always taking pictures of me taking pictures. I look like a strange little gnome when I do it, so I hope he doesn't get ideas like yours.

Photographing the photographer - lovely - I like the rippled reflections here.

Who does photograph the photographers...

Love this, Virginia. Your friend's silhouette absolutely 'makes' the photo. Love the light and reflection on the water. How beautiful it is.

No skinny dipping, I trust. Just wonderful, subtle composition and color in this one.

I'm sure Angelyn's photos were nice but yours is great. The "photographed photographer" is always a good theme and the composition is excellent.
