Don't Put Your Eggs....

well you know.  I believe this is the first time I've seen quail eggs for sale at the Pepper Place Market. They were so beautiful, I couldn't stop taking photos.

Quail eggs, wow! They are more beautiful than Easter eggs.

I am always sad when I find a cluster of quail eggs in one of the cactus pots on the patio of our Scottsdale home. It usually means that the parents have given up on that location to incubate the eggs until they hatch.

They look like small and delicate globes. Now, where is Antarctica . . . ?

I've had quail eggs a time or two in restaurants but never seen them whole. Almost too pretty to eat.
