There's a lot of hoopla about our new Regions Baseball Park that recently opened downtown, but let's not forget historicRickwood Field, America's oldest baseball park . Built in 1910, it's a treasure.
The best parks blend the old and the new. When I was in Columbus, a new minor league park opened. It had the feel of a traditional old park, but the seats were bigger to accommodate modern day posteriors, there was more space between the rows, the vendors sold much better food, and the restrooms didn't smell like the Bowery. I loved that new park.

Wow, it's even older than Fenway. Those seats don't look too comfy and they are a lot smaller than seats in the new stadiums.
Love this shot! You can't beat an old ball field...so much history here!
Some of your best photos have been of this ball park. It has the patina only time can create.

It does have that vintage feel to the place!
