I shot this on Friday night as we all celebrated the lighting of the Lyric downtown with a grand street party!

Revolving

Well if you're like me the day after Christmas, you're tired of the party food and decorations, and ready for some barbeque and bluejeans ( if they still fit). So let's move on from Christmas photos, OK? How about this shiny revolving door at the Regions Harbert Plaza in downtown Birmingham? That late afternoon sun made it come to life!

La Pyramide, Birmingham Style

Ahhh yes, a little taste of Paris right here in Birmingham! I was shooting up through the skylight at the Harbert Center recently and I thought it was reminiscent of le Pyramide du Louvre, a place I've photographed many times. It's that Euro Birmingham thing again.

If you'd like to see more of my photographs from le Musée du Louvre, jump over to Paris Through My Lens!

BANNER NEWS: This week the banner photo will change on a whim. I have a lot to share and Halloween is breathing down my neck. Today's header photo you saw last year ( dry those tears!!!), it is for my dear reader Judy from Souther California who told me recently it was her favorite photo, and it's going up tonight just for her. Stay tuned, more to come this week!

I'm off to the lake for a few days.  Have a great weekend everyone !

Tune du Jour: Van Morrison will keep you company here while I'm gone.

SKY WATCH FRIDAY - City Reflection

In Birmingham our banks seem to change names and owners on a regular basis.  Today's photo is the First National/AmSouth/Regions Bank in downtown Birmingham.  The Harbert Center is the reflection you see. Times they are a changin'.

For all the participants today please click SKY WATCH FRIDAY on the sidebar.
