Giggles Guaranteed!

When photographing an almost two year old, sometimes you have to pull out all the stops...or in this case my grandkitty Kittikins.  She tolerated a few minutes of hugging and petting,  then as she prepared to split, she provided the best photo of the day!

Rest in Peace , Dear Willie

The hardest part about having a pet is having to say goodbye when they are ready, but you're not. I lost my sweet granddog Willie on Monday. He was much loved by our family and especially his soulmate, Ivy and Kittykins, who secretly loved him but wouldn't admit it. From the day he joined our family, he was the sweetest and gentlest dog you could ever love. Man's best friend indeed.

Kittykins Strikes Again

A bow to my faithful viewer Judy who always emails as to what my grandkitty , Kittykins, is up to. Well after the "Baby Cap Caper", we thought she had straightened up. That is if you don't count stalking Hanna Montana, the goldfish, and some ummm......bothersome "bathroom" habits. Apparently, there have been some antics going on behind our backs. I just happened to have my camera handy when she took out after Willie the pug a few days ago. I know what you're thinking. Why didn't he just fight back, walk off, snarl... something?? I have no answers. He just took it like a man I guess.

What are you looking at? I didn't do anything!!!!

Endangered Species

Meet Kittykins, my grandcat.  Santa brought her to my granddaughter Eva for Christmas.  Some of you have met Kittykins here.  Sadly Kittykins' days may be numbered.  Apparently her "Yarn Festish"  has caused her to lose her mind and roam the house at night in search of my daughter's knitting projects.  Last night she crossed over the line.  She snuck downstairs (as only a cat can do) and uncovered the well hidden baby cap "in progress".  The light of day revealed yarn wound all around the kitchen, dining room and living room in a tangled mess!  I suspect fur is going to fly.  It doesn't look good.   D.C. Confidential, you may have a new member of your D.B. Cat Club!

The Tune du Jour is "Crazy" by the fabulous Patsy Cline. This is one of my all time favorites,  and Kittykins, this is dedicated to you, sistah!

Portraits From My Heart - Kitty Love

Portraits From My Heart II

Kittykins here is one of the luckiest cats I know.  She was a gift to Eva from Santa.  He left her right under the tree.  It was love at first sight.  Since Christmas her feet have hardly touched the floor.  She has been hugged, nuzzled, smooched, and lovingly toted  all over the house by her adoring mistress. This is a match made in heaven.

Portraits From My Heart is a portrait series of my five grandchildren.  Portrait I was posted on Tuesday, August 5th.

Tune du Jour is " Everywhere" by Pink Martini.   It may have been written for Eva and Kittykins.
