2 THINGS CHALLENGE - UP/DOWN

Little did I know when I posted this photo today that I was jumping right into this week's Two Things Challenge which is UP/DOWN!  Thanks to my pal in D.C. for alerting me.  For once I am ahead of the game instead of bringing up the rear.

These boys are having a ball swinging as high as they can go!  Isn't that what summer is all about?

That looks like a lot of fun. Nice photo of the action too.

Great photo! I still love to swing! The boy with his head thrown back sure knows how to enjoy his swinging!

Brings back memories of my cousin and me years ago, trying to get as high as we could then jumping off to see who could land the farest away.

j'aime beaucoup, ce tourbillon de la vie.

I love this whirlwind of life.

I can almost feel the excitement those boys are having ...! the moment and the sense of motion of the picture radiate that excitement ... This is a wonderful picture, VJ.

Ah … this takes me back! My dad built a HUGE SWING in our back yard and we took turns swinging HIGH above the rooftops (much to my mother’s dismay) … sharing wonderful times. Thanks for sharing ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

P.S. Nice to hear another Pink Martini devotee!

This isn't my 2 Things but glad I got credit. I didn't have one but just thought of one on my walk and I am off to capture it.

And I misspoke and said this week's challenge was Up/Down when really it is Over/Under. But, I've fixed that and made an executive decision based on your photo. This week's challenge is now Up/Down and next week's will be Over/Under!

Look at the power you wield! :-)

Oh Virginia, a lovely photo with a great music! I'm too tired to write more, we've work all the day long to fit out a little apartment for our son who is going to live home to study in september. Many things stay to do but our head is still buzzing after so many hours near the drill... Thank you for your e-mail, I'll answer as soon as possible!

This photo brings to mind a Robert Frost poem, "Birches." Good action photo!

I remember those days -- trying to swing up as high as possible on those swing sets. My brother and I even attempted to see who could "fly off" the swing mid-air.

..an attractive photo, Virginia. worth showing.

BTW...the headline image is unexpected for Birmigham Ala, and so all the more enjoyable.

Ref yr comment on "tweaking"....I rarely do anything other than a very mild crop or mild tweak of the white balance or a tiny change in the exposure value to darken or lighten by a mild amount. "Reality and Vision" is straight "out of the camera".

Occasionally I get a bit wild and yank the sliding bars, but not often.

Yr regular visits to RuT are much appreciated.
