Mountain Brook Village is one of the most festive spots around during the holidays. All of the trees are lined with white lights (below) and they have a spectacular tree that is covered in colored lights. I caught this reflection in Bromberg's Jewelry store window. Lots of pricey baubles inside for shoppers that aren't feeling the pinch this season!

Bonjour Virginia! These lights give a magic touch to the scene!
c'est la saison où les lumières remplacent les feuilles des arbres, les illuminations de noël sont toujours aussi magique.
it is season when light replaces the leaves of trees, Christmas illuminations are always so magical.
Christmas is the right season for this kind of photos. Very nice shots, V.!"
V! Particularly love the banner shot, looks like liquid white chocolate. And yes! We will go back to the White Horse and chase Dylan Thomas' ghost...
These are just lovely - delicate and not overdone.
Very pretty. I wonder how you can take photos at night. I have never been able to do that with my camera. Do you use a tripod ?
Thank you for commenting on my blog. You made me proud (a little bit).
Oh Marie,
I rarely take the time to use a tripod which is why my photos aren't all that sharp. I mean to but just think I can hold my breath and get it. My Paris night photos today I used a silly little tripod that worked somewhat! And you should be proud of those lovely beach scenes!
Thanks!
KM, You're on.
Jilly, I just emailed Melissa to run to Monte Carlo to see your Eze photos.
Olivier, Alice and JM- Thanks, I just love a reflection shot! HA
Coucou Virginia.
One does not need Jewelry!!! when you have all those beautiful shiny lights around..
I am British so you can't time me out in the sin bin, we don't have them. The twinkling lights remind me of delicate lace or a spiders cobweb, or misty morning dew draped. Is that better. I am trying to behave it's just I'm so well ballsy, which is just not British at all. I am heading for the sin bin right now.
What beautiful reflections! especially the second one, like xmas fireworks on the window.
B, I'm right behind you, shove over one seat.
V, my post today is dedicated to you, mi amiga.
Pretty pretty lights! All that is mising is snow. And do I have snow for you!
B. and Knox
You both stay in the"sin bin" till you can behave. Did you find me something for tomorrow's post yet? The coffers are bare!

Snow? Well our flurries tomorrow will suffice thank you.
Lovely photos again, puts me right into a festive feeling.
But what's a "sin bin"? Makes me laugh saying that aloud.
Well see yesterday's post. B, and Knox got rowdy on here and I sent them to TIme Out where they would have to languish in my Photo Archives till they dug up something for me to post. Since B. is British, I assume the Sin Bin ( Which I too LOVE) is their answer to Time Out!HA You learn all kinds of stuff on this blog I must say! Thanks for stopping by!

Out of the shadows of the sin bin and in the ball park area with the image required.
It's looking a lot like Christmas in the store windows!
I just love this time of year :)
Good grief! I used to watch the Perry Como show on TV when I was a kid. My grandmother liked it a lot. You handled the night shots well. Wouldn't it be nice if the decorations were not based on marketing.
Well old timer I guess you rmember "The Hit Parade" too!
V
RR, Tanya- A festive time of year for sure.
B, You have served your time!
DL, I have lived through your winters. Not going there again. We may get some tomorrow I think. GREAT photo ops but NO driving in B'ham when the snow falls.
Marie-Noyale, Maybe your husband would like to see inside Bromberg's!
Beautiful night photography and Christmas decorations.
