Meet Leo Ticheli - Magic City Art Connection

Today I'd like you to meet my new friend, the multi-talented Leo Ticheli.  Leo's one of Birmingham's  finest cinematographers.  He's been at it for over 30 years and his production company is one of the best in the city.  In addition he's a fine photographer.  As you can see, some of his fine art photography is for "grownups" and he does it very well.   He's promised me some "milder"  photos for my blog while I'm in France. You're in for a treat. ( He's even joining the CHAIR SERIES!)   Thanks Leo, for your kind words of encouragement and support!

* The Chair Series continues!!! Halcyon at Jackson Daily Photo was nice enough to join in with some very comfy chairs on Wednesday. Check them out!

Is it just 16 days till Paris?????

Have a great day.

Nice to meet him. Will check out his site. BTW, I will be flitting through Charles De Gaulle Airport on my way to the US on June 20th, so I guess we'll be in the same country for a little while!

Nice photo in the background. I like your delicate phrasing.
So exciting about 2 wks + a bit to Paris. It will be so different from your previous photo trips.
How many are going? I wanna know how many to be envious of!

Virginia, I can't open the link!! It says "not found"! Damn. I was very curious, I like to peep at professional photographers.
So you're going to Paris! Wow, you lucky girl. I haven't been there since honeymoon back in 2004 and I really hope to go back one day.

I must admit that I like very much the way you took this picture: enough to show the Leo but enough to leave him his "real me". One can feel the acuteness of his eye...

Ooh la la! What a grown up photographer he is and needless to say his study of flesh is sensational. So when' V's book of Birmingham's cultural who's who out? Off to bed, but do check out today's post and certainly tomorrow. People.

Well all I can say is that Leo's button that says, "Keep calm and carry on!" will be our motto in France this summer! Thank you all for your nice comments. I'm sure Leo will appreciate reading them. Check back next month when he's my guest blogger for two days!

Nice portrait of Leo. I like how his work is in the background of your picture. An echo of his photographic eye.

Another nice portrait. I like his James Joyce glasses and that he is surrounded by his work. It's also interesting that, since he's a photographer and cinematographer, his eyes are almost completely obscured.

Can't believe you're going to Paris...I love Paris! You're very lucky!

And Leo is pretty talented. I had to check out his adult work, and I think he shows a great appreciation for the subject of his photographic endeavors.

Bob,
I know his portrait could have been better. I think I was distracted by the artwork!HA

Jacob,
Leo's very good at everything he does! And yes, I am so very lucky to be returning to Paris! I can hardly wait to get my camera clicking!
