My guest photographer Doug Stocks shot this building on UAB's campus on the southside of Birmingham. How many of us would have walked right past this one? I know I would. Aren't we glad Doug stopped!

Hello, American person who is in France. I like this one a lot, as you might have guessed - spare, high-impact, great graphic sense.
Looking forward to seeing, well, at least a photo of a cup of espresso with something from the patisserie.

Thank you all for your kind words. Interestingly (perhaps), I had just parked my car on the way to shoot something else when this caught my eye. I no longer remember that something else, I'm sure it was rather mundane.
The high contrast and the spatial relationships are very cool.
