Move in ready except the roof leaks. Take it up with the landlord.
Yesterday it rained, no poured. I spotted this little nest and fully intended for this to be one of my famous "drive by shootings", but unfortunately I had to get out of the car. Luckily my first shot worked, because I got drops all over the lens and the rest were toast.

Hah! What you experienced was "wilderness photography".
Anytime you have to get out of the car and walk, even just a bit, the endeavor falls into this category. Trust me. It is tru.
But ... you got a very graphic image for your efforts. So, the exercise was worthwhile. No?
beau contre jour de ce nid
I too often have to pull over....for this shot you'd definitely have to... This is sharp and clear and a beautiful b/w.
Nice view from the balcony, too.
Very nice black and white!
I'm glad you got out for this one. Excellent post, V.
What a cute little nest. Hope the birds found a drier place. Also hope it does not rain today. We're innondated! What happened to the sun?
I love this one...title & all!

Nice .. squirrels or birds I wonder ...
You're just on fire lately (despite the rain). Everything on this blog is tops, V. I just scroll through here and love it.
I'm with Petrea on this one V!!! When I opened today's blog I said to you in my head "wow, V...you've become a really awesome photographer" first the banner...I mean, how could this picture be any better? The color, the close up, the depth of field...magnificent!!! Then, the scroll down to the next one.....geeeeeeze....the very powerfully simple composition done in black and white pretty much knocked my socks off!!! (Ok...I really wasn't wearing any socks, but if I had been, they'd of been knocked off!) All in all...each time I visit your blog I am impressed by your steady progression of magnificence!!! You just keep getting better and better!!! And you started out really good!!! Thank you for sharing your talent with us!!!
Or maybe "room for rent". Nice shot.
Haha...I'm so happy to hear you do drive-by shootings as well! I do them all the time. Especially when I'm scared or embarrassed to get out of the car.
I have a lot of those leaky roofed buildings in my backyard. Come on over and shoot them anytime you want.
The Cuckoo Nest is empty. Will Nurse Ratched apply?
Chuck,
Lest you think I tromped through the woods, well ....no. The tree was between the street and the sidewalk but I had to get out to get a better angle without power lines etc. In that rain, I wasn't going to get drenched!
Thanks everyone. Your comments encourage me and help me to improve. Some days I am so strapped for a legit photo I think I'll just skip a day but I can't!!! This was a windfall. Now about tomorrow........grrrr.
Move in ready for sure : ). So perfect! I am visiting from Daryl's blog tonight. Nice to meet you. I love pictures.

Welcome, come back often. I love my new readers that come from my dear friends' blogs.

Soggy toast, I'd guess. This is a dramatic picture. Are you doing a re-make of The Birds?
Awww, it's a cute fixer upper. Who is the real estate agent?
