1910

Spotted on the alleyway between 19th and 20th Streets in downtown Birmingham.

I'll be joining many of my Auburn Kappa Delta sorority sisters for a reunion of sorts this weekend. I'll be back to commenting on Sunday evening. Bon weekend everyone!

Just love it! The door (not the brickwork) could be in Menton.

This is my kind of shot. I find myself drawn to peeling paint, rust, and when combined with a door or a window it's usually fabulous!

Hi, Virginia. Love this door, and believe it or not, I have a photo of a similar peeling red door here. What's more, I'd seen another 'identical' photo of another door I had on Greenwich Village Daily, and am posting it on the 24th/8. That's where I saw your comment! Check back with me to see my door, which looks like Greenwich Daily's door.

This is getting complicated... :)

You found my favorite type of thing to photograph! There's something about aged architecture that is truly beautiful. Lovely photo.

I like the contrast with the old peeling door on the door and shiny new padlock. Great textures in this -- lots to take in.

What a wonderful work of art nature and vandals have created for you to capture...

Qu'y a-t-il derrière cette vieille porte?

This door deserves a more appropriate lock! :)

J. says he's tired of the word "stunning," but I can't think of a better one. I love this.

Very cool and artsy! Nice catch, V! We could say it's been a longg time since the last paint job!
